Nature Travels offers a wide range of year-round outdoor, wildlife and adventure holidays in Sweden, suitable for all ages and levels of experience. We have divided our experiences into summer and winter:
Summer Holidays in Sweden
- Canoeing and Timber Rafting: timber rafting, self-guided and guided canoeing, bushcraft.
- Hiking and Trekking: a variety of hiking opportunities in the Swedish wilderness, from self-guided hiking in southern Sweden to challenging treks in Sarek National Park in the far north of Sweden.
- Horse Riding: we have riding holidays in Sweden to suit a wide range of levels of experience, including working holidays.
- Kayaking: guided and self-guided sea kayaking in Sweden's stunning archipelagos on the east and west coast.
- Summer Active Accommodation: log cabins and catered accommodation options for couples, families and small groups - an ideal way to enjoy the long summer days.
- Summer Other: bushcraft holidays, traditional family summer holidays on a forest farm, multi-activity options.
- Wildlife: Sweden offers excellent opportunities for encounters with animals, including elk, wolves and beaver.
Winter Holidays in Sweden
- Cross Country Skiing: with thousands of kilometres of possible routes to choose from, Sweden is an excellent destination for cross country skiing, both for day outings or extended ski touring.
- Dog Sledding: lead your own husky dog sled team into a mountain world of snow and silence on a multi-day dog sledding holiday.
- Winter Active Accommodation: a traditional log cabin is a wonderful way to enjoy the magic of the Swedish winter, with activities from cross country skiing to ice fishing.
- Winter Other: there is so much to do in Sweden in the winter - try ice skating on frozen lakes, a snowshoeing tour with winter camping or a winter wonderland forest holiday!
You can also see suggestions for a particular kind of Sweden holiday:
- Adventure Travel: Fun and exciting activities in the Swedish wilds! Dog sledding, wilderness canoeing and mountain hiking tours.
- Challenge: More demanding experiences including mountain dog sledding and wilderness trekking.
- Comfort Zone: Love the outdoors but also value good food and a comfortable bed for the night? Find the answer in the Comfort Zone!
- Family Friendly: Sweden is a wonderful destination for families. Here you will find suggestions for families with very young children and also for those with active teenagers.
- Guided Experiences: Having a local guide can add enormously to your enjoyment of your holiday and the opportunity to learn about Swedish nature and culture, and is of course essential for activities such as dog sledding.

The "Full Details" PDF files
All the information you need is available in downloadable PDF files. These files contain full descriptions of each experience, detailed pricing information, and advice for travelling to/from and within Sweden.
You probably already have Adobe Acrobat Reader (the program you need to read PDF files) installed on your computer, but if you don't, you can download Acrobat Reader free here. If you do have any problems opening the PDF files, please contact us and we will be happy to supply the information in an alternative format.
On each experience page you will see a blue "Full Details" button. Just click on this button to open the PDF file. You can then save the PDF file to your computer and view it at your leisure, or print out the pages you need if you wish. To print just a selection of pages, choose "File > Print" then type the numbers of the pages you want to print in the "Pages from:" and "to:" boxes.
As an ecotourism company which takes our environmental responsibilities very seriously, we try to minimise our consumption of resources and do not publish a printed brochure. As well as having a significant environmental benefit, this also means that we are able to provide you with the latest information on our experiences and update this information regularly.
